Our Refurbishment Process & Quality Grading

How We Refurbish Our Devices

Every device goes through a professional refurbishment process carried out by trained technicians. Each unit is thoroughly inspected, tested, cleaned, and prepared to ensure reliable performance.

What we do during refurbishment:

  • Complete hardware and functionality testing
  • Secure data wiping to protect previous user’s privacy
  • Fresh installation of a genuine operating system
  • Cosmetic cleaning and detailing
  • Replacement of worn or faulty components when required
  • Final quality check before listing
  • 12-month warranty included for peace of mind

Our Quality Grades (Excellent & Good)

We classify our refurbished devices into two main grades so you know exactly what to expect.

Excellent Condition

  • Light signs of previous use
  • Displays may have up to two minor, barely noticeable marks (not visible when the screen is on)
  • Chassis may have a few tiny scuffs or marks, generally only visible from close range
  • Keyboard and trackpad in very good condition
  • Battery health at 75% or above

Good Condition

  • More visible cosmetic wear such as scuffs, scratches, or casing marks
  • Keyboard may show clearer signs of use, though all keys remain fully functional
  • Screen may have small marks or pressure spots that do not affect normal usage
  • Battery health typically 50%–74%

Both grades go through the same functional checks. The difference is purely cosmetic and battery condition.

Testing Criteria Before Approval

  • A device is only listed for sale if it passes all functional tests, including:
  • Boots, shuts down, and restarts normally
  • Stable performance with no freezing or system issues
  • Display free from cracks (minor pixel imperfections may be present)
  • Touchscreen and pen input (if applicable) fully functional
  • All ports tested (USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Keyboard and touchpad fully responsive
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity verified
  • Biometric features (fingerprint / face recognition) tested where applicable
  • Storage drive checked for faults and securely wiped
  • Operating system freshly installed and activated
  • Battery health meeting the grade requirement
  • Device confirmed to work correctly in its intended region

Cosmetic Restoration

Some laptops may receive a professional vinyl skin on the lid to improve the appearance of the device. This is commonly used to cover small imperfections such as scratches or discolouration.

  • Does not affect performance
  • Does not void warranty
  • Clearly mentioned on the product listing if applied

What Happens to Items That Don’t Pass?

Devices that fail our testing or have major defects (broken screens, faulty boards, swollen batteries, etc.) are not sold.
Instead, they are recycled or dismantled for usable components.
Only units that meet our standards are offered to customers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between Grade A and Grade B?
Mainly cosmetic condition and battery health. Both work perfectly.

Do you test battery performance?
Yes — battery condition must meet the required range for its grade.

Can I see actual photos of the device I’ll receive?
We use representative images for each grade, as individual units vary slightly.

What does “refurbished” mean?
It means the device has been professionally restored, tested, cleaned, reset, and prepared for resale — not simply used and resold.

Do you sell units with faults?
No. Anything that fails testing is removed from inventory.
