1. Change-of-Mind Returns
If you change your mind, you may request a return for an eligible refurbished device within 14 days of delivery.
The following conditions apply:
- A 10% restocking fee applies to approved change-of-mind returns.
- The item must be returned in its original condition, with all included accessories and components.
- Return postage is paid by the customer.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method after the item is received and inspected.
- You must obtain return authorisation from Perth Laptops before sending the item back.
This policy does not apply to faulty items or items that do not match their description. Those claims are handled under ACL.
2. Warranty Coverage
Refurbished devices are covered by a 400-day store warranty from the purchase date, unless otherwise stated in the product listing.
The warranty covers eligible hardware faults arising during normal use.
The following are not covered by the store warranty:
- Physical or accidental damage.
- Liquid damage.
- Misuse or improper handling.
- Unauthorised repairs or improper installation.
- Software issues, viruses or operating system errors not caused by a product fault.
- Data recovery.
These exclusions do not affect any rights you may have under ACL.
3. Dead on Arrival (DOA) and Faulty Items
If your device arrives faulty or develops a fault within 14 days of delivery, contact Perth Laptops as soon as possible.
Please provide your order number and a description of the issue. Photos or videos may be requested to help us assess the fault.
Depending on the fault and your rights under ACL, the available remedy may include repair, replacement or refund. We may also provide troubleshooting assistance where appropriate.
Do not return the item until you have received return instructions from us.
The 14-day reporting period does not limit your rights under ACL.
4. Standard Warranty Returns
For faults reported after the initial 14-day period and within the applicable store warranty, we will assess the issue and determine the appropriate remedy.
| Step | Process |
|---|---|
| 1. Assessment | We assess the fault and confirm whether it is covered. |
| 2. Repair | Where appropriate, we will attempt a repair at no charge using suitable new or refurbished parts. |
| 3. Replacement | If repair is not possible or appropriate, we may provide a comparable replacement, subject to ACL. |
| 4. Refund or other remedy | We will provide any refund or other remedy required under ACL. |
For a minor failure, Perth Laptops may choose an appropriate remedy as permitted by ACL. For a major failure, you may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement.
5. Return Authorisation (RA) Process
All returns require prior authorisation from Perth Laptops.
- Contact our customer support team with your order number and reason for return.
- Wait for return instructions before sending the item.
- Pack the item securely with all required accessories.
- Include your order number and any return reference provided.
- Use a tracked shipping service and keep your postage receipt.
Unauthorised returns may be delayed or refused where legally permitted. This process does not restrict your rights under ACL.
6. Australian Consumer Law
This policy operates alongside Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.
